Miami Platja is located in one of the most beautiful locations on the Costa Daurada. Here you can relax on one of the beautiful beaches. You can choose between long, wide sandy beaches or the small beaches located in bays. These are often surrounded by rocks covered with pine trees and are therefore wonderfully sheltered. On the larger beaches are cozy beach bars where you can eat and drink, and there are many water sports opportunities. Miami Platja has a number of cozy restaurants in different price categories. All in all, Miami Platja is a wonderful destination for people who prefer to stay away from mass tourism but want to enjoy all the good things the Costa Daurada has to offer.

Shopping in Miami Platja
In Miami Platja you will find plenty of stores and supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. In the shopping street you will find everything you normally need, such as banks, a doctor, pharmacy, medical center, post office, gas station, garage, car rental, tourist info, restaurants, terraces and all kinds of stores. Near the Tropikana apartments you will find a car rental company. Every Saturday afternoon there is a lively market in the main street of Miami Platja.
Along the boulevard you can stroll to the next fishing village L'Hospitalet de l'Infant; here there is a cozy market on Sundays and at the port of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant you can eat delicious food.
Nightlife in Miami Platja
You can choose from a wide range of restaurants in Miami Platja that prepare both dishes of local and traditional cuisine to the more international and sophisticated cuisine. The restaurants on the main street of Miami Platja vary quite a bit in price/quality. You can get the best coffee at "Claudia". You will find Claudia at Avinguda de Barcelona, 130. Should you wish to eat at La Borde D'en Manel (the best restaurant according to the locals), make a reservation as soon as you arrive, hoping that by the end of the week you will then have a place. For a cozy evening we recommend Victoria, owned by Dutch owners Sjaak and Petra, where you can enjoy good food but also a drink. You will find Victoria at Carrer Alemania, 5. Furthermore, you will find bar restaurant Friends on the beach of Miami Platja. This restaurant also has Dutch owners and you can enjoy a snack and a drink. Friends can be found at Carrer Àmfora, 8.
In Miami Platja you will find several restaurants and bars on the main street. The nightlife in Miami Platja is different than in Salou. In Salou you will find the big discotheques and especially a lot of youth. Miami Platja is very suitable for a quiet vacation with cozy terraces and bars. You can take a cab from Miami Platja to Salou if you want to go to a nightclub. This costs about 25, - for a single trip. We recommend making a price agreement with the cab driver in advance so that there are no misunderstandings about the price.

Being active in Miami Platja
Miami Platja is a paradise for sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts. You can surf, swim, sail, pedal boat, jet ski and canoe.

Transportation in Miami Platja
From Miami Platja there is a regular bus service to Mont Roig del Camp, from where you can travel onwards to Cambrils or Salou, for example. The bus station of Miami Platja can be found in Avinguda de Barcelona, 111. You can travel to Cambrils, Salou and La Pineda by bus from this bus station. The bus to Cambrils takes about 25 minutes and costs about 3,- for a one-way trip. With the same bus you can continue to Salou, which takes about 40 minutes. To La Pineda the bus trip takes 55 minutes with the same bus. In Hospitalet you will find a train station, where you can travel to Tarragona or Barcelona. The train trip from Hospitalet to Tarragona takes 28 minutes. The train goes 5x a day. The train from Hospitalet to Barcelona takes 1 hour and 50 minutes. This train goes 5x a day.
